Her Sales Society ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through hersalessociety.com and its subdomains (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Her Sales Society is operated by Her Sales Academy Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 16003250. Registered office: 16 Derwent Close, Maghull, Liverpool, England, L31 9DL. Her Sales Society is a sales training and placement organisation founded by Vicky Yee. Her Sales Academy Limited is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. 2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, Instagram username and the answers you provide when you register for a masterclass, complete a quiz, watch a training, apply for a Career Strategy Session or contact us.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL and campaign parameters (such as UTM tags), collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Information from our service providers: for example whether an email was delivered or opened, or whether a video was watched.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver what you asked for: registering you for an event, sending the event link and reminders, sending free resources and responding to enquiries.
- To contact you about Her Sales Society programmes and services, where you have registered your interest or otherwise agreed to hear from us. You can opt out at any time.
- To run and improve the Site, understand which pages and campaigns perform, and keep the Site secure.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including through the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, as described below.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Our lawful bases are performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, consent (for marketing communications and non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business, balanced against your rights.
4. Cookies, pixels and analytics
The Site uses the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant adverts to people who have visited the Site. Video players embedded on the Site (such as Vidalytics and YouTube) may set their own cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage the adverts you see from Meta through your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with providers who help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it: our customer relationship and email platform, video hosting, scheduling and form providers, payment providers, cloud hosting, and advertising platforms. If you enter our placement process, we may share relevant details with recruitment partners and hiring businesses, and we will tell you before we do so. We do not sell your personal information.
Some providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Enquiry and marketing records are kept while you remain in contact with us and for a reasonable period afterwards. Programme and payment records are kept for the periods required by UK tax and company law, usually six years.
7. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email support@hersalessociety.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Marketing messages
If you have registered for an event or resource we may email or message you about it and about related Her Sales Society programmes. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any marketing text or WhatsApp message.
9. Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
